Health Insurance
Per the federal healthcare reform law (Affordable Care Act): All employees who are currently enrolled in the District’s medical and/or Rx benefits are to receive a “Summary of Benefits & Coverage” (SBC) for the plan in which they are enrolled during open enrollment (OE). All employees enrolled with CVS Caremark for prescription drug benefits would receive two SBCs – one for the medical coverage and one for the drug coverage. All currently enrolled employees also have the right to receive an SBC for all other plans for which they are eligible.
