To register a student, please print and complete ALL documents, including the Health Form and Home Language Questionnaire. They are part of the registration packet. Please be sure to read carefully, and complete and sign all forms where required:

Kindergarten Screenings
Children must be five years of age or older on or before December 1st of the current calendar year to be eligible to enter kindergarten this coming fall.

Pre-Kindergarten Registration
We offer two full-day pre-kindergarten programs for children who are four years old on or before December 1st of the current calendar year. Click here for more information about our pre-kindergarten programs and how to register.
Private Schools
For students residing in the Hudson City School District who attend non-public schools, the District maintains information to support the provision of services such as transportation, health services and textbooks. Parents are requested to share the relevant information with the Central Registrar’s Office to help the District administer these services accurately.

Home Instruction (Homeschool) Registration
The Hudson City School District has partnered with Questar III BOCES Home Instruction Services to support families K-12 who have interest or intent in participating in Home Instruction (Homeschool).
Questar III BOCES will serve as your primary point of contact for all Home Instruction documentation, processing, and compliance requirements.
All parents or guardians wishing to enroll a student in the Hudson City School District Home Instruction Program must complete the required online application or submit the required documentation by mail using the process outlined below and detailed in the Home Instruction (Homeschool) document.
Following these procedures helps ensure that all documentation is received securely and processed in a timely manner while reducing the possibility of misplaced or lost personal information.

New to Home Instruction?
If you have not yet submitted any Home Instruction documentation, please begin by submitting your Letter of Intent (LOI).
After your Letter of Intent has been received, someone from Questar III will be in touch. Once your child is enrolled you will be able to submit the remaining required documentation throughout the school year.
