School Taxes Online
Property owners may access their tax information through Info-Tax Online. School taxes can be searched using a partial search of property owner name and/or property address information (e.g., search by last name only). Only one line of information is required even though there are several text fields.
In addition to viewing parcel details and tax amount information, a payment schedule allows for payments due to be calculated based upon entering a “Due As Of” calendar date. Calculated amounts due, including fees and penalty, are only valid for payments made during the school tax collection period (see below). InfoTax Online will show school taxes paid to the Hudson City School District Tax Collector only.
Please allow seven (7) business days after the date of payment for paid status to appear online.

STAR (School Tax Relief) Exemption
Basic STAR exemption: Most residents who own and live in their home are eligible for the NYS Basic STAR property tax exemption on their primary residence. Basic STAR works by exempting the first $30,000 of the full value of a home from school taxes.
Enhanced STAR exemption: Available for senior citizens (age 65 and older) with yearly household incomes not exceeding the statewide standard. For qualifying senior citizens, the Enhanced STAR program provides additional savings by exempting a greater portion of full value from school taxes.
Click here to learn more about the STAR program or call 518-457-2036.
Important Changes to STAR Exemption Program: New applicants who qualify for STAR must register with New York State instead of applying with their assessor. You will receive a STAR credit in the form of a check rather than receiving a property tax exemption. The dollar value of the credit will be the same as the property tax exemption. You can register online at the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance’s website.
