PBIS is about recognizing the positive behaviors that occur during your time in school, whether it is in person or virtually.
When you are “caught” engaging in positive behaviors, you can earn positive referrals from staff as well as Kindness Currency. Every time you spend Kindness Currency, your name will be put into a drawing for a chance to win other prizes. Spend Kindness Currency at the Kindness Store Cart when it comes around during lunch on Tuesdays and Fridays. The more Kindness Currency you spend, the more chances you have to win! Upcoming raffle drawings will occur and be announced on Friday, January 15th and Tuesday, January 19th.
How do you earn Kindness Currency? Be “caught” doing the right thing! Keep your masks up appropriately, stay socially distanced consistently, or do something helpful in the spirit of PBIS (Be Responsible, Be Respectful, Be Safe). All teachers and staff have Currency to give out. You can also earn Kindness Currency from a positive referral, so be sure to ask the teacher or staff member who wrote you the positive referral for your Kindness Currency if they don’t give you any. Remember to put your name on the Kindness Currency for the raffle drawing.
Earn positive referrals for behaviors such as perfect attendance, engaging in your online classes, or giving excellent effort. For every positive referral you receive, you’ll also get a Stewart’s Ice Cream Card that will be mailed directly to you! We are working on getting more prize items for virtual students.
