Dear Parent/Guardian,

We hope that you are enjoying the remaining days of summer. Recently, we received some inquiries about our locker policy. Please note that students are allowed to go to their lockers four times during the school day. Students are allowed to go to their lockers when they arrive at school, before lunch, after lunch, and at dismissal. As the temperature changes, students will begin to wear their fall gear to school. Please note that students are not allowed to wear their jackets while in school. When students arrive at school, they have the opportunity to go to their lockers to put their jackets away. Students can carry a sweater with them to keep them warm. The primary reasons for these two decisions are for security purposes. Your child’s safety is extremely important to us. We want all of our students to feel safe while in our school building. Moreover, we want to ensure that students are able to circulate through the aisles in their classrooms freely without tripping over a bag or a jacket. Therefore, please remind your child to wear warm clothing to school in order to ensure that they are kept warm. A copy of our student handbook is attached here for your reference.

Finally, we would like to remind you of the following dates:
October 12th: Meet the Teacher Night (5:30-7:30 PM)
October 17th-20th: Spirit Week
October 28th: Activity Night
November 3rd and 4th: School Pictures (During PE class)

We thank you for your continued support as we go through the year together.

Sincerely,
Rhode Cooper, Principal
Tyme Baez, Associate Principal
