Dr. Antonio W. Abitabile, Principal of Hudson Senior High School, is pleased to announce that Autumn Kudlack has achieved Valedictorian and Autumn KudlackAhsraful Shamrat has achieved Salutatorian for the Class of 2019.

Miss Kudlack attained a 99.962 average while studying AP US and AP World History, AP Environmental Science, Physics, AP Biology and College Psychology. She is attending New Visions at RPI taking Physics I & II during her senior year.

Autumn was active in the National Honor Society, Environmental Club, the Envirothon, Mock Trial and the school newspaper, ”The Owl.” She was a Rotary Club Student of the Month. She has been active in the Drama Club school musicals, playing the lead and major roles since 2013.

Outside of school she has participated in a mission trip to Puerto Rico helping to rebuild houses and encouraging residents. She also has traveled to Jarvis, Ontario, Canada as a volunteer assistant teacher with students in Vacation Bible School. In addition, she has been a camp mentor, talked about books on a weekly radio program, and is a Sunday School teacher to an autistic child and babysits.

Autumn aspires to be a professor and will be studying Chemical Engineering or a closely related field at the University of Rochester.

Ahsraful ShamratShamrat earned a 98.282 average after studying AP US and AP World History, AP Biology, College Pre-Calculus, Calculus I, Spanish IV, English Composition and Composition and Literature, Psychology, Sociology and Critical Issues in Health.

Shamrat has received the Rensselaer Medal, Gellert Cornell Admissions Invitation, RIT Presidential Scholarship, CGCC Presidential Scholarship, The Micah 6:8 Award, the University at Albany Multicultural High School Achievers Award and was a Rotary Student of the Month.

Ahsraful was active in Robotics, Environmental Club, the Envirothon, JV/Varsity Soccer, Mock Trial, Student Council, “The Owl” Newspaper, Math Club and National Honor Society. Ahsraful has volunteered with the Salvation Army, The Second Show and is employed by Operation Unite, Education and Cultural Arts Center and works as an usher at Hudson Hall.

Mr. Shamrat plans to attend SUNY Stony Brook to study Biomedical Engineering.
