The Hudson Senior High School Envirothon team competed in the 2024 Capital Region Envirothon on Thursday, April 25, 2024.

One of our teams (consisting of Autumn Hopkins, Anthony Cozzolino, Tessa Goldstien, Maggie Ramos and Sarai Chung (with alternate Anthony Florio)) finished with the top score in Columbia County, the top score in the Capital Region, AND the top score in EVERY category (aquatics, current issue, forestry, oral presentation, soils, and wildlife) out of 15 teams in the competition! This is the first Hudson Team to ever achieve this feat! They now move on to the New York State Envirothon held at SUNY Cortland on May 22-23, 2024.

Our second team (consisting of Labonna Prova, Nazmun Bhuiyan, Morgan Curran, Asia Johnson and Warda Mahamud (with alternates Sebastian Dermott and Abira Khair)) also had success, finishing in 5th place (including the second highest scores in the current issue and the oral presentation). These students have put in an incredible amount of time, coming in twice a week for over an hour each day since September.

Way to go, Bluehawks! #HudsonTogetherWeCan
