In the month of March, Hudson Senior High School student Warda Mahamud competed in the 9th Annual Albany Regional Brain Bee at Albany Medical College and finished in 4th place out of 17 students participating.

The Brain Bee tests students’ academic knowledge of neuroscience, as well as their neuroscientific skills via neuroanatomical, neurohistological, MRI, and patient diagnosis applications.

Hosted by the Department of Neuroscience and Experimental Therapeutics since 2016, the Albany Regional Brain Bee offers students the opportunity to learn about the brain and its vital functions, and to meet and network with other students interested in neuroscience, as well as neurologists, neurosurgeons, and neuroscientists.

This was Warda’s first year in the competition, so finishing in 4th place is very impressive! Way to go, Warda! #HudsonTogetherWeCan
