Mrs. Near and Ms. Sullivan’s ELA 10 classes finished Night and a unit on the Holocaust in Global 10 at Hudson Senior High School. The 10th graders are now doing a research project on Human Rights Violations and writing an “Enduring Issues Human Rights Violation” essay. Students are writing and researching Human Rights Violations ranging from the genocide on the Congo, the genocide on Cambodia, and the Holodomor. Throughout the year 10th graders have done collaborative units using historical fiction and biographies in ELA, supported by the Global 10 curriculum in the history classes. The goal is to deepen student knowledge by having students work with the same material in two classes. #HudsonTogetherWeCan
