Dear Hudson City School District Families and Staff,
Today, an unannounced lockdown drill that was planned in advance by law enforcement and the Hudson City School District took place at both Montgomery C. Smith Elementary School and Hudson Junior/Senior High School.
The elementary school’s drill went into effect at approximately 12:57 p.m. and was cleared at approximately 1:18 p.m., while the junior/senior high school’s drill went into effect at approximately 1:27 p.m. and was cleared at approximately 1:48 p.m.
In attendance for the drill were members of the New York State Police, Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, Hudson City Police Department and Hudson City School District security and facilities staff.
We are extremely proud of how well our students and staff handled the drill. As always, the health and safety of our students and staff remains our top priority.
