Hudson City School District is examining the sustainability of our football program. Solutions are sought because Hudson’s varsity football team prematurely ended its last two seasons because it could not sustain the minimum number of players required. The Board of Education and District are committed to a process that examines all aspects of the program and what future options are in the best interest of our students and community before any decision is made. As part of this process, the District would like to gauge interest in the program and obtain a projection of participation in the Fall 2024 season at both the Modified (grades 7-8), Junior Varsity (grades 9-10) and Varsity (grades 11-12) levels. We are asking any students in grades 6-11 who may be considering playing football for Hudson to complete this brief survey. The survey results will inform the Board’s decision as to the direction it should take for the 2024 Fall season.

Deadline for completion of the survey Friday Jan. 19, 2024.

Thank you!

Derek Reardon, Senior High School Principal
Rhode Cooper, Junior High School Principal
