PDF: Letter on 6/30 Power Outage Canceled
Dear Hudson City School District Faculty and Staff,
We are writing to you today to inform you that the scheduled power outage on Friday, June 30 at 12 p.m. at Hudson Junior/Senior High School that would close district buildings at that time has been postponed due to issues on National Grid’s end. The cause of the imminent power outage is due to National Grid transferring power across the street to power up the electric vehicle chargers. The District has been told the outage could last over two hours when it occurs.
Due to the potential of power being lost at Montgomery C. Smith Elementary School as well, all faculty and staff for the Hudson City School District were scheduled to be dismissed at 12 p.m. on Friday, June 30. This will still be in effect in consideration of holiday weekend plans. The rain date set in place for the outage to occur is Monday, July 3, but we will update you with further information when we receive it.
