The Hudson City School District will be hosting our next “Hudson Saturday Academy” Event on Saturday, June 24, 2023 from 8:45am to 12:45pm.
The purpose of our “Hudson Saturday Academy” is to encourage family engagement by having volunteers of staff, community organizations and agencies run classes, workshops, presentations, services, crafts, sports etc. in the school on a Saturday morning. The District will provide the space(s) such as classrooms, libraries and/or gymnasiums and outdoor space if needed, for you to run your activity of choice.
Please complete this form by Thursday, May 16, 2023, if you are interested in serving as a volunteer instructor or volunteer helper at the Hudson Saturday Academy on Saturday, June 24, 2023 from 8:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (set up 8:00 a.m.).
Please let us know if you would like to offer one or two sessions and what you would like to offer for your activity, presentation, workshop, etc. the Hudson Saturday Academy is intended for students and parents/guardians, therefore we welcome activities or “classes” for all ages PreK-12. We are currently working on securing translation services to address the language barrier, as needed.
Breakfast and snacks, including ice cream will be provided.
We hope you will sign up to participate as a volunteer instructor and/ or volunteer helper and assist the District with bridging our school and community partnerships to create and provide a variety of enriching experiences for our students and families.
