Dear Hudson CSD Families:

Seventh grade will continue with remote instruction through Tuesday, November 10, 2020. This is due to the number of JHS staff members required to quarantine and a high demand for substitutes following a seventh grade student who tested positive for COVID-19.

Seventh grade will return to in-person classes on Thursday, November 12 (Gold Day). Seventh grade special education classes as well as all other grades will continue in-person instruction as scheduled during this time.

The District provided a list to the Columbia County Department of Health of anyone that could have come in contact with the positive case. Impacted staff members and families were contacted directly and told to quarantine as a precaution. If you were not contacted by a representative there is no further action needed on your part.

If there are any questions about seventh grade remote instruction, please contact Principal Reardon at reardond@hudsoncsd.org or 518-828-4360 x8100.

Please help us keep our schools open by following the health and safety guidance. We will always communicate any changes in the guidance to you all. Please stay vigilant about masks, social distancing and hand-washing, as well as avoiding gatherings and travel outside of New York State.

Even in times when we are physically apart, our Bluehawk family is stronger when we work together.

Sincerely,

Dr. Maria Lagana Suttmeier, Ed.D.
Superintendent of Schools
