Here are a few things to help you get to know Ms. Moses:
What is your role here at the Hudson City School District, and where do you work?
I teach S.T.E.A.M (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) at MCSES. I work with Grade 3-5 students and teachers.
When did you start working in the district?
September 2018. This is my first year at the district.
What is your education background?
I moved to New York City after high school to pursue my degrees in Science and Teaching.
What is your background like – previous jobs?
I lived in New York City for 10 years and worked at the Early Childhood Discovery and Design Magnet School, which is a Public Magnet School for Engineering located near Central Park in Manhattan.
Tell us a bit about your life outside of school.
I am currently living in Ghent, NY. I grew up on Long Island and always loved the great outdoors. I grew up fishing on the Great South Bay and horseback riding in Suffolk County.
While living in New York City, I developed a deep love of the arts and started creating artwork of my own. Currently, some of my artwork is being displayed at several restaurants and business offices in NYC.
I am an avid backpacker and love hiking throughout the Catskills and the country. In the winter I love skiing, winter hiking, making big pots of chili and wearing warm sweaters. I am very happy and grateful to move up to Hudson and enjoy all the local opportunities. Hudson’s easy access to nature along with its urban vibe and culture matches me perfectly.
Anything else you want to share?
I am excited to bring my skills to the Hudson community and to work with MCSES’s amazing team of teachers! LET’S GO BLUEHAWKS!
