Computer/Network Acceptable Use Policy

With some instruction remaining online for the foreseeable future, please be reminded of our District’s Computer/Network Acceptable Use Policy, which governs the use of school computers and online platforms both on and off of school premises. All such use must be for the purpose of education and related research pertaining to the student’s assignments. Students should be aware that their internet traffic is visible to the school whenever a student is logged into their HCSD Google account. Students should also not expect that information stored on their school computer will be private. Student data files and other electronic storage areas are treated like school lockers, meaning these areas are considered to be District property subject to control and inspection, and that school officials may access student files and communications without prior notice to ensure that students are complying with school policy. Students who engage in unacceptable use of District computers and online platforms may be subject to discipline in accordance with the District Code of Conduct.
