The District was notified of four new cases of COVID-19 within the school community, one of which will require all grades at M.C. Smith Elementary School (PK-5) to pivot to fully remote learning starting on Monday, January 25 until Monday, February 1, 2021.
Students received Kindness Certificates for demonstrating the December character trait of the month, kindness.

We are pleased to offer a series of FREE live Zoom workshops designed to help parents/caregivers support their children during these incredibly difficult and historic times. Topics include increasing your child’s motivation, recognizing and coping with anxiety, and addressing defiant behavior to bring more peace to your home.
Maintaining a safe school environment would not be possible without the cooperation and hard work of HCSD students, staff and families, as well as our strong partnership with the CCDOH and Questar III. Our teachers and school staff have never worked harder to support our students, in school and virtually. Seeing our students in pre-k through high school take on the social responsibility of this pandemic and follow the safety protocols every day makes proud to be the superintendent.
