SEQR (Environmental Review)

New York’s State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQR)

In accordance with New York State law, Hudson City School District and the Board of Education evaluated potential environmental impacts of the proposed capital project prior to the project’s adoption by the Board.

From the Board of Education’s “Notice of Special Election” document:

“The School District, acting as lead agency under the State Environmental Quality Review Act and the applicable regulations promulgated thereunder (SEQR), has completed its environmental review and, on December 14, 2015, has duly issued a negative declaration and has determined that the implementation of the unlisted action as proposed will not result in any significant adverse environmental impacts;

NOTICE is also given that a copy of the text of such propositions may be obtained by any resident in the District during the fourteen days immediately preceding the Special Election, except Saturday, Sunday, or Holidays, at each of the school houses in which school is maintained, and the Business Office located at the Hudson High School, 215 Harry Howard Avenue, Hudson, New York, between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. (EDST).”
