HUDSON — The Hudson Senior High School Class of 2028 received strong community support during its car wash fundraiser on July 25, with local residents stopping by Hudson Junior/Senior High School to have their vehicles washed while making donations to support future class activities.
Throughout the four-hour event, a steady stream of cars, trucks and SUVs pulled into the school parking lot, where Class of 2028 students provided exterior car washes in exchange for donations of any amount. The fundraiser will help support future class events, including prom, homecoming, the senior trip and other senior-year activities.
The class extends a special thank-you to Justin Feliz, owner of Worry Free Mobile Detailing, for donating his time, expertise and supplies. Before the first vehicle arrived, Feliz demonstrated his professional equipment and showed students proper car-washing techniques. After reviewing the supplies the students planned to use, he also upgraded their wash mitts, towels and brushes.
Feliz shared how he started his detailing business as a teenager and grew it into a successful local company, offering students encouragement and insight into entrepreneurship. He remained at the event throughout the afternoon, assisting with washes and even holding roadside signs to help attract passing motorists.
“We just can’t thank him enough,” Class of 2028 adviser Theresa Hayes said. “While he has children in the district, none of them are part of the Class of 2028, which makes his generosity even more meaningful. A member of our Bluehawk community saw an opportunity to support our students and simply showed up to help.”
The car wash is one of several fundraising efforts organized by the Class of 2028. The class also partners with Camila’s Pizzeria and Grill for Pizza Fridays at the high school and worked with Go Green, Burn Clean Soy Candles on a fundraiser earlier this year.
