Dear Hudson City School District Families,
Fall sports registration (Grades 7-12) is now open for the 2026-27 school year. This year, we are using a completely online registration program called Activate Registration. This can be done from a phone, computer, tablet, or any electronic device. Once your account is created, you will have it for every registration period and will only need to complete certain aspects of the registration.
JV & Varsity Football will begin on Monday, August 17th; all other HS sports and Modified football will begin on Monday, August 24th. The rest of the modified sports will begin on Monday, August 31st.
High School sports are for students in grades 9-12, and Modified sports are for grades 7-8. For football this year, we are trying to get 3 levels back, so if you are entering 7th and 8th grade, please sign up for modified, and if you are entering grades 9-12, please sign up for JV if entering 9th and 10th grade and then Varsity if entering 11th & 12th grade, so we can see what the numbers look like based on Junior High and High School students.
If you are looking to play a High School sport as a 7th or 8th grader, you would need to pass the APP testing. If you have questions regarding that, you would need to contact Athletic Director Shawn Briscoe before signing up. Please sign up for the appropriate level based on your child’s grade.

Once the account is created, you can start the registration process. Some information will be needed to get your student registered. A copy of their current physical must be uploaded into the system, which can be done by taking a picture with your phone and uploading it; there is no special format required for the pictures. Just make sure that the picture includes not only the date of the exam but also the doctor’s signature page. You will know that your child is complete and ready for tryouts when their registration status says “Completed” in green.
If anything you submit gets declined, you will have a reason attached to that so you know how to properly fix the issue.
