Budget Vote & School Board Election Results - graphic

The Hudson City School District is excited to announce the results of the 2026-27 budget vote and Board of Education election that took place from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at designated voting locations at the Hudson Central Fire Station, the Greenport Community Center and the A.B. Shaw Fire Station in Claverack on May 19, 2026.

The proposed 2026-27 Hudson City School District Budget in the amount of $59,171,704 has been approved by the following vote:
861 – YES
485 – NO

In the Board of Education election, Lou Zapp was elected to the remainder of a current vacancy plus a full three-year term ending in June 2029. Residents also elected incumbent Michael Zibella to the Board of Education for a three-year term beginning on July 1, 2026. Candidate vote counts are below, in the order they appeared on the ballot:

830 – Michael Zibella
858 – Lou Zapp
291 – Royce “Rip” Noblin
28 – (Write-in Candidate)
19 – (Write-in Candidate)
