Hudson City School District kicked off its Harvest of the Month program this September with a celebration of one of fall’s favorites, fresh local corn. 🌽

Each month, cafeterias across the district feature a locally sourced food item in partnership with nearby farms. For September, students were treated to roasted corn on the cob, prepared right in the husk so they could enjoy the fun of the full “husking experience.”
The event was a big hit with students, who were all smiles as they husked and ate their corn together. The program not only introduces students to fresh, healthy foods, but also helps them learn where their food comes from while supporting local farmers.
Photos from Wednesday’s event capture the excitement and joy of the day, along with a flyer highlighting the upcoming Harvest of the Month foods.
Hudson looks forward to celebrating a new harvest each month and continuing to connect students with local farms and fresh food.
