The Hudson City School District is proud to announce that Hudson High School has been awarded a $3,500 Whole Kids Garden Grant. The grant, which Ms. McPeek applied for under the supervision of Superintendent Dr. Pennyman, was awarded to support the school’s efforts to promote student learning and wellness through hands-on gardening.
The grant was awarded from a pool of more than 1,000 applications submitted from across the United States and Canada, and will provide funding for the enhancement of garden spaces at Hudson High School.
The Whole Kids Foundation, founded by Whole Foods Market, is dedicated to improving children’s nutrition and wellness. Through its Garden Grant Program, the Foundation supports schools and nonprofit organizations to help young people engage with fresh, healthy food through hands-on gardening experiences.
Hudson High School will receive its grant funds later this summer.
