Kenneth Behr Appointed Hudson Junior High School Associate Principal

HUDSON, NY – The Hudson City School District Board of Education, at its Jan. 23, 2024 meeting, appointed Kenneth Behr, an educator with over 15 years of experience, to the position of Hudson Junior High School Associate Principal.
Behr joins the Hudson City School District with experience in leadership and education in school districts of various sizes. He most recently served as an associate principal for the Highland Falls-Fort Montgomery Central School District following four-and-a-half years at the middle school level for the Poughkeepsie City School District.
“On behalf of the Hudson City School District, I am excited to welcome Kenneth Behr to the District,” Superintendent of Schools Dr. Juliette Pennyman said. “Mr. Behr impressed me with his passion for supporting students and staff alike.”
Behr replaces Carolyn Miller who left the District for a new opportunity. He will work directly with Hudson Junior High School principal Rhode Cooper. He holds a New York state certification in Physical Education K-12, as well as a School Building Leader Professional certification. In addition to having degrees from CUNY York and CUNY Lehman, Behr attended West Virginia University and SUNY Cortland.
“I am very excited to interact with the students, staff and families of Hudson Junior High School,” Behr said. “I truly feel that my skill sets are a great match for working in a Junior High School and I look forward to collaborating with everyone.”
In his free time, Behr enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, grilling and attending football games as a season ticket holder of the New York Jets.
