Mrs. Zucker’s Junior High School Health and Wellness Classes participated in engaging and interactive lessons directed by Hudson Valley Wellness professionals on Oct. 26.
Students were educated on the difference and importance of depression and anxiety when it comes to maintaining a positive mental health, as well as practical ways to combat and manage poor mental health like obtaining quality levels of rest, air, sunshine, exercise, water and nutrition.
The class also listened to a personal testimony delivered by Ms. Amanda, a recovering alcoholic, who informed the students about the five steps to recovery.
Students were treated to healthy smoothies made by the Hudson Valley Wellness professionals and some student helpers!
