The 2022 extended school year summer program for special education students is from July 6, 2022 through August 16, 2022 (Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.).

ABOUT

The Extended School Year (ESY) Program provides special education and related services to students with disabilities in Kindergarten through 12th grade to prevent the loss of skills during school breaks.

Elementary students transitioning into 1st through 5th grades will be located at the Montgomery C. Smith Elementary School campus and students transitioning into 6th grade and up will be located at the Hudson Junior High School campus.

Program highlights include working on identified annual goals, developing or enhancing language and social skills as well as coping strategies and other wellness strategies. Additionally, students will work on an identified individual project. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Transportation is provided and you will be notified directly by the bus company responsible for summer transportation.

ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible for this program, students must be determined eligible through the annual review Committee on Special Education process. Faculty and staff will implement ESY IEPs as developed by the CSE.
