Each year the school district adopts a calendar that includes extra days in case we need to close due to inclement weather or unforeseen emergencies. This ensures we can maintain the state-required number of school days (180).

To date, the District used only one of the three emergency closing days planned in the 2021-22 school calendar. Therefore, due to contractual agreements and New York State regulations, the unused closing days will be “returned” and our schools will be closed on Thursday, May 26, and Friday, May 27, 2022.

Please note that if additional emergency closures are needed in May (e.g., power outage), the calendar may need to be adjusted again.

If you have any questions, please contact your child’s principal.
