Dear Bluehawk Families,

This letter is to inform you of an upcoming administration change at Hudson Senior High School. Principal Robert LaCasse recently announced that he accepted a position at the Albany City School District as the Instructional Supervisor for Secondary Social Studies and World Languages. His last official day will be May 1st.

Mr. LaCasse was not actively looking to leave the district when he was presented with this professional opportunity. Prior to becoming an administrator, Mr. LaCasse taught Social Studies at HHS for many years, and the chance to develop cross curricular work with the World Languages Department in the Albany City School District was an enticing opportunity.

We are thankful for Mr. LaCasse’s leadership and the many things he has helped to accomplish at HHS. He has a long and proud history at the Hudson City School District and it will be a great loss for our school community, however we look forward to welcoming a new principal who will continue to expand opportunities for our scholars. We wish him the best of luck in his new position.

We will begin the search for candidates to fill the high school principal position in the coming weeks. The Board of Education will make an interim appointment within the next few weeks to assist with the transition and management of the high school principal position until a successful candidate is in place. We are eager to find someone who shares our values and commitment to providing your child with the best education possible.

Please be assured that your child’s success remains a top priority during this transition. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact my office at 518-828-4360 ext. 2101.

Sincerely,

Dr. Lisamarie Spindler
Superintendent of Schools
