Dear Parents and Guardians,
The HCSD Board of Education approved a calendar change for Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at its meeting last night. Previously scheduled as a full day of student attendance, all schools will dismiss early at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, 11/24 to jump start the Thanksgiving Recess. Please note this does not impact the 180-day attendance requirement and will not result in a shortened April Break or longer school year.
This change was adopted in recognition of the patience and perseverance of our students, families and staff who have worked so hard this fall to follow the many health and safety protocols in place and keep learning at school a priority.
