Dear MCSES Families,
This letter is to inform you of a leadership change at Montgomery C. Smith Elementary School this fall. Associate Principal Amanda Klopott recently announced that she will be leaving the district after accepting a position as a building principal in the Troy City School District. Her last day with us will be August 20th.
Mrs. Klopott was a valued administrator this past year and a half, and although we are sad to see her move on, we know this is a wonderful opportunity for Mrs. Klopott and her family. We are proud to see Mrs. Klopott fulfill one of her professional goals to become a principal in her own building and we know she is excited to continue her leadership journey.
We are thankful for the work she accomplished at MCSES and look forward to continuing that momentum with her successor. The search for a new associate principal is in progress. We are eager to find someone who shares our values and commitment to providing your child with the best education possible. In the meantime, Mr. MacCormack and I are available to assist you.
