On March 23, 2021, the HCSD Board of Education accepted a purchase offer for the former John L. Edwards Primary School during a special meeting. The BOE unanimously approved a deal to sell the property for $3 million to Adirondack Community Development, an affordable housing developer based in New York City.
Voter approval is required to sell the building but a referendum date has not been set. Details about the public vote will be announced when they are available.
