Dear Hudson Parents & Guardians,

At the May 26, 2020 board meeting, the Board of Education approved the revised 2019-20 school calendar to mark the official last day of school and online instruction as Wednesday, June 17, 2020.

This calendar amendment was necessary to account for the loss of the spring recess. Without action, we would go over the maximum number of contractual work days budgeted. Please note that neighboring districts may have different end dates due to a difference in contractual obligations and the number of emergency days available. Please also note that this calendar change is subject to any Executive Order from the Governor that may establish a different date for the final day of instruction.

Meal services and the childcare program will continue through the summer in accordance with a recent state mandate. Please refer to our website.

Here are a few dates to remember as we near the end of the school year:

  • Learning assignments continue through Wednesday, June 10
  • Class sessions held June 11 – 12 for the purposes of academic and social/emotional support, awards, meets, and office hours
  • Last day to hand in work is June 15 at Noon
  • Grades finalized, personal belongings/devices exchanged June 15 – 17

Thank you for your patience and support during this unprecedented time. We look forward to a time when we can be together again.

Sincerely,

Dr. Maria Lagana Suttmeier, Ed.D.
Superintendent of Schools
