Dear Hudson Community,
At the regular board meeting scheduled for May 26, 2020, I made a recommendation to the Board of Education that we amend the 2019-20 school calendar to mark the official last day of school and online instruction as Wednesday, June 17, 2020.
This calendar amendment is necessary to account for the loss of the spring recess. Without action, we would go over the maximum number of contractual work days budgeted. Please note that neighboring districts may have different end dates due to a difference in contractual obligations and the number of emergency days available.
Please note that this calendar change is subject to any Executive Order from the Governor that may establish a different date for the final day of instruction. Meal services and the childcare program will continue through the summer in accordance with a recent state mandate.
