Dear Parents and Guardians,

Monday at school, teachers met with administrators to discuss plans for developing and distributing materials to support online learning opportunities. Time was also spent discussing online learning opportunities with students to help them understand this shift in the learning environment, how teachers will communicate with them, and what types of materials will be provided during this time. Each teacher and grade level will be different.  However, we compiled this general webpage to outline the various digital learning resources, technology and WiFi information at our disposal. Click here for a list of resources to support students with home/online learning opportunities and remote instruction.

Printed resources and assignments will also be sent home by some teachers. Teachers will notify parents if these materials need to be picked up. If possible, we encourage you and your students to check your email frequently to maintain the school and family relationships during this time of extended closure.

Additionally, we are developing a plan to provide meals for students while schools are closed. As soon as a plan and meal locations are finalized, we will share that information with you. In the meantime, bagged “grab and go” meals were provided to students on Tuesday to take home for the rest of this week.

As a reminder, schools are closed from Wednesday, March 18 through at least Wednesday, April 1, 2020 in a statewide effort to mitigate the potential spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). This time frame follows an executive order issued by Governor Cuomo on March 16. We understand that this is an inconvenience for our families, but our primary concern is the health and safety of our students and staff. Nothing about this is ideal and we will pull together and do the best we can for our children. We appreciate your understanding and support. If you have any questions or concerns, please call us at (518) 838-4360 or email us at brennemanm@hudsoncsd.org at your convenience.

Sincerely,

MCSES Administrative Team
