Following guidance from local and federal health officials, we are taking proactive measures to remain abundantly cautious in light of public health concerns. Therefore, the following events have been postponed or canceled. Some may be rescheduled as we continue to assess the situation.

Canceled Events/Activities
  • Parent/Teacher Conferences and Freshman Orientation at Hudson Junior/Senior High School (originally scheduled for 3/12)
  • Junior High Snowball (originally scheduled for 3/13)
  • Visit to Hudson Valley Community College (originally scheduled for 3/17)
  • Proctor’s field trip (originally scheduled for 3/18)
  • Youth Government Day (originally scheduled for 3/19)
  • Region 4 Odyssey of the Mind tournament (originally scheduled for 3/21)
  • Hudson Reads mentoring program (occurs weekly; suspended until further notice)
  • Shrek the Musical (canceled due to scheduling conflicts)
  • All Section 2 athletic scrimmages are suspended through April 19
  • Harmony Project Hudson (in-person classes suspended through at least March 31)
  • MCSES spring picture day (originally scheduled for 3/16)
  • Multicultural Festival at HHS (originally scheduled for 3/20)
  • HCSD Art Show at Columbia-Greene Community College
  • MCSES Report Card Conferences (originally scheduled for 4/1)
  • Hudson Children’s Book Festival
  • All elementary- and intermediate-level State assessments have been suspended for the remainder of this school year
  • All field trips through May
  • May 2 and June 2 SAT exams
  • MCSES Drama Club Performance
  • Mother’s Tea
  • MCSES spring concerts

Postponed Events/Activities
  • Kindergarten Screenings (postponed; originally scheduled for April 14-16 and May 22) – more information will be provided about when K screenings are rescheduled
  • Kindergarten Open House (postponed) – more information will be provided about when K Open House is rescheduled
  • Annual school budget vote and board of education election (postponed until at least June 1)
