UPDATE March 23, 2020

Due to the COVID-19 virus and the mandated closure of schools, the March Madness AnimalKind Collection has ended. We thank everyone for their contributions and generosity and look forward to collecting again next March for this organization.

For the month of March, the Hudson City School District will be accepting donations to help support AnimalKind located at 721 Warren Street, Hudson. See below for a wish list of suggested items to donate.

Drop boxes for donated items are located in the lobby of Montgomery C. Smith Elementary School (102 Harry Howard Ave, Hudson). Monetary donations or Walmart gift card donations can be given directly to Adrianne Blanks, Attendance Secretary at MCSES. If you need an item picked up, please let Ms. Blanks know and she will be happy to help. She can be reached at blanksa@hudsoncsd.org or 518-828-9493.

Please see below for a letter from shelter manager Sarah Mellin and a copy of their Wish List! Thanking you in advance for all of your support!

AnimalKind is a nonprofit 501 (c) (3) animal welfare organization founded 20 years ago by Katrin Hecker, a registered nurse who was determined to end the plight of stray cats and kittens that were overrunning the streets and alleys of Hudson. Today AnimalKind is a nurturing community force. Every year we save and serve over 5000 animals in need through various programs, reducing suffering and euthanasia as well as promoting Humankind through AnimalKind.”
