A new garden bed will be built in the courtyard at M.C. Smith Elementary School after they finished a building-wide project in their STEAM classes (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math).
Students in Grades K-5 all had a different job to complete the project, from learning about different types of plants to learning about the water cycle to designing and measuring the actual garden beds.
They even had a school contest to choose the design! MCSES voted on the “H” design, which will be constructed with help from Mr. Beyer and his HHS Technology students.
