Each year the school district adopts a calendar that includes extra days in case we need to close due to inclement weather or unforeseen emergencies. This ensures we can maintain the state-required number of school days (180). To date, the district used only two of the three emergency closing days planned on the 2018-19 school calendar. Therefore, due to contractual agreements and New York State regulations, the school calendar may be adjusted as follows:

  • If no more emergency closing days are used, we will not have school on Tuesday, May 28.
  • If one more emergency closing day is used, the calendar remains as is.
  • If two more emergency closing days are used, we will have school on Thursday, May 23.

We will notify you of any calendar changes by the end of April for your planning purposes. If you have any questions, please contact your child(ren)’s building administrator.
