As part of our continuous efforts to increase the safety and ease of student drop-off, we have some updates about the morning drop-off procedure and safety additions that will be made over the next few months.
First, we will be adding extra crosswalks and a new sidewalk at the front of the building (closest to Harry Howard Avenue). This will allow easier access for parents who are dropping off their children in the morning.
Second, the traffic gates in the parking lot will be closed at 8 a.m. when the school day begins (effective January 2, 2019). Any families arriving after 8 a.m. will need to park their vehicles and bring their child inside to sign-in their student at the attendance window. This policy is in place for safety reasons, as there are no staff outside after 8 a.m. to receive children being dropped off.
