In addition to teaching Social Studies and Economics, Mrs. Bender is the facilitator of the student-run Google Help Desk. She also facilitates the H&R Block Budget Challenge, which is a personal finance simulation that allows seniors to compete with students across the country for $20,000 in scholarships. Mrs. Bender is the second HHS teacher in less than one year to be recognized as a Top Teacher (Mr. McDarby, a Science teacher, received the honor in April 2017).
